Kalshi alternatives: seven apps, sorted by why you are switching

Kalshi alternatives fall into four groups, depending on why you are leaving: a state limit, a fee, a way of funding your account, or a market Kalshi does not list. This guide sorts seven apps that serve US users by those reasons. Each one gets its regulator, its fee on 100 contracts at 50 cents, how you fund it and what it says about signup credits, all checked on October 11, 2026. If you are coming from Polymarket, the same list applies, because US users trade on Polymarket US. This guide describes the apps and does not recommend trades.

THE SHORT ANSWER

The right Kalshi alternative depends on why you are leaving. For fees, Novig charges nothing on pre-game sports trades, and Polymarket US ($1.74) and Crypto.com ($1.75) sit next to Kalshi's $1.75 on 100 contracts at 50 cents. For funding, Robinhood runs through an account you may already have, at up to $2.00. For state limits, each app publishes different rules, so check yours before you deposit.

Before you take part. 18+ or the higher age required in your jurisdiction. Eligible locations only. Trading can lose your entire stake. Promotional credits cannot be withdrawn directly.

Verify your eligibility and the exact reward rules before funding an account. Fees, price changes, liquidity and settlement can affect the result. Estimates are illustrations, not guaranteed cash or investment advice. The platform’s current terms control.

If you use a partner link, doddo may earn a commission.

Which Kalshi alternatives work if Kalshi is limited in your state?

Court orders limit Kalshi in three states: Washington (announced August 13, 2026: sports, elections, politics, entertainment, culture, tech and science, and mentions), Michigan (September 2, 2026: sports) and Nevada (enjoined, per the Nevada attorney general's June 3, 2026 release). In Massachusetts the attorney general has sued Kalshi and announced a sports injunction on January 20, 2026; we could not confirm whether it is in force today, so check the current status. Wisconsin has also sued Kalshi (April 23, 2026), which is not a court order. Each alternative publishes its own limits, summarized below. Apps check where you are when you trade, so a home address in an open state does not help in a limited one.

These are published rules. This guide does not tell you how to work around them.

  • Novig: nationwide except Arizona, Nevada and Michigan, judged by your physical location. You must be 21 or older.
  • Robinhood: Maryland and Nevada residents cannot trade sports event contracts, and Michigan residents cannot open new sports contracts as of September 9, 2026.
  • DraftKings Predictions: a state map. In Washington, Michigan and Nevada it lists financial markets only. Check your state on the map before you sign up.
  • FanDuel Predicts: says it is available in all 50 states and DC, but what you can trade depends on location. Where FanDuel Sportsbook operates, sports sit on the sportsbook.
  • Polymarket US and Crypto.com: no state list in the pages checked. The Nevada attorney general says a judge will bar Polymarket US's sports, election and entertainment contracts there, and that Crypto.com and Robinhood stopped offering them to Nevada residents. Wisconsin sued Polymarket, Crypto.com, Robinhood and Kalshi on April 23, 2026, and Kentucky and New York have sued Polymarket US. These are lawsuits, not court orders. Is Polymarket legit? lists each Polymarket case.
  • PredictIt: open to US persons 18 or older, with political markets only.

Which apps like Kalshi charge lower fees?

Kalshi charges takers 0.07 × contracts × price × (1 − price), so $1.75 on 100 contracts at 50 cents and less toward 1 cent or 99 cents. Resting orders pay nothing unless the market lists maker fees, per the Kalshi fee schedule, and Kalshi's fee schedule page shows no upcoming changes. You can run your own trade in the Kalshi fee calculator. Here is the same trade elsewhere:

  • Novig: no fee on pre-game straight trades. Live games use 0.03 × price × (1 − price), or $0.75 here, except live NCAAF, NHL and MLB, which use 0.06, or $1.50. Futures also use 0.06, but golf and tennis futures carry no fee as of September 10, 2026. Resting orders never pay a fee, per Novig's fee page.
  • Polymarket US: 0.0695 × price × (1 − price), rounded to the nearest cent with exact halves going to the even cent, or $1.74 here. Until 1 PM ET on October 19, 2026, resting orders on standard trades earn a rebate of 0.0125 × the same formula, about $0.31 per 100 contracts. After that, only makers with $10 million or more of maker volume in the prior month earn one, per the Polymarket US fee schedule. Polymarket fees has worked examples.
  • Crypto.com: the same 0.07 formula as Kalshi for sports and prediction contracts, or $1.75 here, with 0.0175 for resting orders. Its crypto, FX, commodity and index contracts cost $0.02 per contract.
  • Robinhood: a commission of 10% of price × (1 − price) per contract, or 5% with Gold, rounded up and capped at $0.01 per contract, plus the exchange's own fee of up to $0.01 per contract (Kalshi's fee on Kalshi markets). At 50 cents that is up to $2.00 either way, per Robinhood's help center.
  • FanDuel Predicts: two cents per dollar of potential payout, so $2.00 on 100 contracts at any price. At 10 cents the same trade costs $0.63 on Kalshi.
  • DraftKings Predictions: its fee disclosure lists $0.02 per contract at 50 cents for Crypto.com's exchange, DraftKings Exchange and CME markets, so $2.00 here.
  • PredictIt: no per-trade fee. It keeps 10% of your profit when you sell above your cost or the market closes in your favor.

Which apps like Kalshi fit how you fund an account?

A 2% or 3% card deposit cost can be larger than the fee gap between two apps, so compare how each one takes money as well as how it charges per trade.

  • Kalshi: debit card (including Apple Pay and Google Pay), ACH, PayPal, Venmo, Cash App for deposits, crypto and wire. The minimum is $10, or $1,000 for wires. ACH is free and debit card deposits can cost up to 2%.
  • Polymarket US: debit card, ACH, Apple Pay (iPhone), PayPal, Venmo, USDC (iPhone, where available) and wire. Card and ACH deposits take 3 to 4 business days to clear, and wires start at $5,000. It describes withdrawals as free.
  • Robinhood: event contracts use settled cash only, with no instant deposits. Bank transfers take 1 to 5 business days, and debit card and wire are the alternatives.
  • Crypto.com: a USD account funded by wire or ACH, where instant deposits may count toward your balance, or crypto from over 350 tokens converted to USD.
  • Novig: bank transfers and stablecoin or crypto deposits have no fee. Credit card, debit card and Apple Pay deposits cost 3%.
  • PredictIt: ACH deposits and withdrawals are free as of September 23, 2026. Card deposits cost 3%, with your next card deposit free up to $1,000.
  • FanDuel Predicts: no credit cards, and the balance is separate from other FanDuel products. DraftKings Predictions: funding is not published on the Predictions pages checked.

Which sites like Polymarket list different markets?

Kalshi's menu covers elections, politics, culture, sports, crypto, commodities, climate, economics, mentions, finance, and tech and science. The alternatives differ mainly in what they leave out or add.

  • Polymarket US: sports, politics, crypto, economics, weather, tech and culture.
  • Novig: sports only, including football, baseball, basketball, hockey, golf, tennis, soccer and MMA.
  • PredictIt: political markets, with a $3,500 limit per contract.
  • Robinhood: sports, politics, weather, commodities and entertainment.
  • Crypto.com: sports, financials, elections, economics, and arts and culture.
  • FanDuel Predicts: sports, culture, financials and crypto, including combos of up to eight football predictions.
  • DraftKings Predictions: sports, crypto, politics, financials, economics, culture and climate.

Is Kalshi the Polymarket alternative for US users?

Kalshi is one direct choice. Polymarket lists the United States as close-only on polymarket.com, so US users can close old positions there but cannot open new ones. The Polymarket you can trade on from the US is Polymarket US, a separate app. Both it and Kalshi are CFTC-designated exchanges, and their taker fees are $1.74 and $1.75 on the same trade.

The Kalshi vs Polymarket US comparison covers fees, deposits and signup terms head to head. How does Polymarket work? explains Polymarket US's contracts, deposits and withdrawals. The Polymarket US page and Kalshi page show their credit rules.

Do signup credits change which Kalshi alternative to pick?

A signup credit is not cash. On Polymarket US, FanDuel Predicts and Novig the credit itself cannot be withdrawn, only winnings above it, and credits expire. Polymarket US's deposit credit expires 7, 10 or 30 days after issue, set per campaign. Read the terms before you deposit, and do not deposit more because a credit is on offer. The best prediction market apps guide sets out each app's credit rules side by side.

Novig's help center lists $50 in five $10 trade credits for a $10 deposit, running from October 1, 2026 for one year. doddo's Novig page is on hold and may show older terms, so doddo does not track or estimate that credit.

How do you move from Kalshi to another app?

Start with the reason, then check the state rules, the fee and the credit terms in that order. When you are ready, Kalshi says you can withdraw funds back to the method you deposited with once the deposit clears any security hold. Debit card and bank withdrawals have no Kalshi fee.

Trading can lose the whole stake, including your deposit. If it stops feeling like a choice, see responsible gaming resources.

Where does doddo fit?

We make doddo, a free web app that tracks published signup credit terms for Kalshi and Polymarket US and shows each credit's withdrawal rule and an estimate of usable value, labeled as an estimate. It is not a prediction market. It does not trade for you, hold your money or ask for your passwords, and it is web only and US only. Novig is on hold. New accounts are on a waitlist, so start a check to join it. The prediction markets hub has the details.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best alternative to Kalshi?

It depends on why you are leaving. For fees on pre-game sports, Novig charges nothing. For a fixed signup credit, Polymarket US posts $25 after a $10 deposit. For trading from an account you already hold, Robinhood. For a state limit, check each app's own list.

What are apps like Polymarket for US users?

Polymarket US is the US version. Kalshi, Novig, Crypto.com, Robinhood, FanDuel Predicts and DraftKings Predictions also list event contracts, either on a CFTC-designated exchange or through a CFTC-registered broker. PredictIt covers political markets under a no-action letter.

Is Kalshi cheaper than its alternatives?

On 100 contracts at 50 cents, Kalshi's $1.75 is within a cent of Polymarket US ($1.74) and Crypto.com ($1.75). It is below the $2.00 charged by DraftKings Predictions and FanDuel Predicts, and above Novig's $0 on pre-game sports.

Do these alternatives work in Washington, Michigan or Nevada?

Check each app. DraftKings Predictions lists financial markets only in all three. Novig excludes Michigan and Nevada. Robinhood limits sports contracts in Michigan and Nevada. The rules change, so confirm in the app for your location before you deposit.

Is PredictIt an alternative to Kalshi?

For political markets, yes, with differences. PredictIt charges 10% of profits instead of a per-trade fee, caps you at $3,500 per contract, and says in its terms that it is not regulated by the CFTC and runs under a no-action letter.

Is the Novig signup offer still available?

Novig's help center lists $50 in five $10 trade credits for a $10 deposit from October 1, 2026 for one year, for members who have not traded before. The credits expire 30 days after issue and cannot be withdrawn. doddo's Novig page is on hold.
